To connect to an existing house analog PBX or the PSTN using a Grandstream 4104
- Caller id supplied by PBX in one of the following formats:
- Bellcore/Telcordia

NTT – Japan
- Polarity Reversal or Current Disconnect for hangup detect.
- Answer Supervision.
- Call Progress Tones – f1,f2,c for each of the following tones:
- Dial Tone
- Ringback Tone
- Busy Tone
- Reorder Tone
Note: If these requirements cannot be met, the system will operate but with reduced functionality.
VoIP PBX Integration Requirements
To connect to an existing house VoIP PBX.
- Signal Protocol: SIP
- Authentication Mode: Digest
- CallerID Transport Type: Relay via SIP From (If using default security)

DTMF: SIP INFO or RFC2833
- Codec: G.711 (µLaw or ALaw) or G.722 (not the same codec as G.722.1 or G.722.2)
- Audio Packet Size: 20ms
